Club Atlético Temperley is a sports institution in Argentina located in the town of Turdera, in the municipality of Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires Province, founded on 1 November 1912. It currently competes in the Primera Nacional, the second division of Argentine football.

It is characterised by its youth academy and its development of young players. Players worth mentioning include Gabriel Hauche, Maximiliano Núñez (who made his debut at the club), Pablo Campodónico, Gastón Aguirre, Luis Eduardo López and Mariano Biondi, who was a key player in the 1970s in the Segunda Categoría and later in the promotion to the Primera in 1974; he was a top scorer at Temperley, and also stood out at Club Atlético Independiente, with a decisive performance in the team's winning of the national Primera División title on 25 January 1978, against Club Atlético Talleres in Córdoba.

It is one of the most important teams of the lower divisions because of its repeated and long spells in the Primera División, achieving victories such as a 3-0 away win against Boca Juniors in 1983, a 3-0 home win against Racing, a 1-0 against River Plate, a 2-1 away win against Independiente in Avellaneda, a 3-1 against Vélez Sarsfield, and that surprising 4-2 victory against San Lorenzo de Almagro. Although the humble club's main sporting activity is professional football, in which it has been champion twice, and its last title came in the 1994/95 season of the Primera C, breaking all records for ticket sales for its matches. However, it also has a Torneo de Verano, in which it won the final 1-0 against Racing Club in Mar del Plata. Other sports are also practised, such as basketball, futsal, tennis, boxing, handball, hockey, roller skating, volleyball, judo, swimming, taekwondo, roller derby and athletics. The members also take part in these activities, along with their other contributions to the growth of the infrastructure of the facilities, and so on.

Its stadium is the Alfredo Martín Beranger, one of the oldest in the area and one of the first to be named after a club official; it is also known as "El teatro de Turdera" ("The Theatre of Turdera"). It has a capacity for 20,000 spectators and has 23 press boxes. It is located at Av. 9 de Julio 360, in the town of Turdera, Buenos Aires Province.

Its best-known barra is called "Inmortales" ("Immortals"), a reference to the club's difficult times in the 1990s, when the institution went bankrupt and was later resurrected.
