Los Andes

Club Atlético Los Andes is an Argentine football club founded in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires, on 1 January 1917. It currently plays in the Primera B Metropolitana, the third division of Argentine football. It plays its home matches at the Estadio Eduardo Gallardón. It is one of the clubs of the southern zone that has been in the Primera División, in which it played matches against the big clubs such as Independiente, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Racing and San Lorenzo de Almagro. However, it had campaigns in which it was relegated one season after having been promoted, and others that were rather mediocre. In total it has 6 seasons in the top category.

Among the best-known players who wore the Los Andes shirt are Juan Carlos "El Nene" Díaz, Casimiro Ávalos, Horacio Nicolás Cuellos, Jorge Ginarte, Hernán Díaz, Gilmar Villagrán, Esteban Fuertes, Adrián Czornomaz, Darío Sala, Ezequiel Maggiolo, Germán Denis, José Tiburcio Serrizuela, Clemente Rodríguez, Jonatan Maidana, Alfredo Obberti, Gabriel Lobos, Marcos Britez Ojeda, Héctor Atilio Franchoni and Orlando Enrique Romero (for many, the greatest idol of the club's recent history), among others.

On 1 January 2017 the club celebrated its centenary, joining the list of the more than 110 football clubs in Argentina that have passed 100 years of life. The celebration took place on the same day with a caravan from the club headquarters on Avenida Hipólito Yrigoyen, with approximately 15,000 fans, passing through the Plaza Libertad (the site of its first pitch), and ending with a celebration at the Estadio Eduardo Gallardón in Lomas de Zamora.
