Club Mutual Crucero del Norte is a non-profit civil association, founded on 28 June 2003 and located in the city of Garupá, in the province of Misiones. (Since 2003, the club has taken part in the tournaments of the Liga Posadeña de Fútbol, abandoning indoor football in order to settle permanently in professional football.) It currently plays in the Torneo Federal A and plays its home matches at the Estadio Comandante Andrés Guacurarí. In 2015 it played in the Primera División, being the youngest club in history to achieve this.
The club belongs to the bus company of the same name, hence the nickname el Colectivero ("the Bus Driver").
It was the youngest club to play in the second division of Argentine football, a record it held until 2017, when it was surpassed by Agropecuario. However, it still holds the unique record of being the youngest club to be promoted to the top category of Argentine football, doing so at just 11 years old. It also has the distinction of being the only club from the interior to reach the Primera División after going through all the categories of the lower divisions.
