Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, S. A. D. is a Spanish football club from the Puente de Vallecas district, in the city of Madrid, Spain. It was founded on 29 May 1924 as Agrupación Deportiva El Rayo, changing its name to Rayo Vallecano in 1947. It currently plays in LaLiga EA Sports, the top tier of football in Spain. In the all-time table of Spanish football it ranks 22nd.

The club has one official title, as champion of the 2017–18 Segunda División of Spain, with former footballer Míchel as manager. In the Primera División, it has taken part in 23 of 95 seasons, its best position being 8th, achieved in 2012–13, 2024–25 and 2025–26. At continental level, it qualified for the 2000–01 UEFA Cup, falling in the quarter-finals against Deportivo Alavés, and was runner-up in the UEFA Conference League in 2025–26, in which it became the thirteenth Spanish team to play in a European final.

The Vallecanos play their home matches at the Estadio de Vallecas, owned by the Community of Madrid and ceded to the football club. The ground opened in 1976 and has a capacity of 14,708 spectators. In addition, the first men's team's training ground and the base of the women's team, as well as of the rest of the youth categories, is the Ciudad Deportiva del Rayo Vallecano, also under a concession from the Community of Madrid.

Its first women's team, for its part, plays in the Segunda Federación Femenina, the third tier of women's football in Spain, and has won three Primera División league titles and one Copa de la Reina (which was the club's first official title), being a classic of Spanish women's football and having played in the UEFA Women's Champions League on three occasions.

Besides its sporting achievements, the club is known internationally for its sociocultural particularities (a neighbourhood, working-class club, etc.), with an impact in both literary and audiovisual spheres.
