SSC Napoli

Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli S.p.A., also known as S.S.C. Napoli or simply Napoli, is a football club based in the city of Naples, in the Campania region of Italy. It was founded as Associazione Calcio Napoli in 1926, took its current name in 1964 and again after the refounding in 2006, having been refounded as Napoli Soccer in 2004. It currently plays in Serie A, the top division of Italian football.

It wears a sky-blue shirt and white shorts, which is why it is known as Gli Azzurri (The Blues). Since 1959 it has played its home matches at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona (formerly known as the Stadio San Paolo), which has a capacity of 54,726 spectators.

With a record that includes four Italian league titles, the most recent won in 2025, eight runner-up finishes, six Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups at the national level, and a UEFA Cup, an Alpine Cup and an Anglo-Italian League Cup at the international level, Napoli is the team of the Mezzogiorno with the most titles and the most appearances in Serie A. It is also the fourth most supported team in all of Italy (11%), representing around one fifth of the fans in the Mezzogiorno.

Napoli's main rivals are A.S. Roma, against whom it plays the derby del Sole, and the big clubs of the North: Juventus of Turin (the north-south derby), A.C. Milan and Inter Milan. In relation to the region it represents, it last played Campania derbies in Serie A against U.S. Salernitana, Benevento Calcio and U.S. Avellino.
