AS Roma

Associazione Sportiva Roma is a football club from the city of Rome, Italy. Founded in 1927, it has played permanently in the top category of Italian football since its creation, being absent only in the 1952 season. It has been crowned Serie A champion in 1942, 1983 and 2001, and runner-up on fourteen occasions. It also won the Coppa Italia nine times, which makes it the second most decorated team in this competition, and the Supercoppa Italiana in 2001 and 2007. At international level, it won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1961, the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1972, and was the first ever winner of the Conference League in 2022. It also reached the final of the European Cup in 1984, where it lost 4–2 on penalties to Liverpool, and of the Europa League in 1991 (as the UEFA Cup) and 2023.

It plays its home matches at the Stadio Olimpico di Roma, which it shares with its traditional rival Lazio, with whom it contests the Derby di Roma. It also contests the Derby del Sole with Napoli, another of its classic rivals. With a capacity of 81,903 spectators, it is the second largest stadium in Italy, behind only the Estadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan, and is considered, according to UEFA's parameters, a category 4 stadium. Its current shirt is imperial dark red with golden yellow, the colours of the city; because of the red and the yellow it is called "giallorosso".

It is the fourth most decorated team in Italy in terms of titles, behind Juventus of Turin, A. C. Milan and Inter Milan. It is also considered one of the five most popular teams in the country, described as a team of tradition and cult following, among the most popular in Europe and the rest of the world.

Roma has been chosen three times by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) as the World's Best Team of the Month.
