Atalanta BC

Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, known simply as Atalanta, is a football club from Bergamo, in Lombardy, Italy. Founded in 1907 as SBG Atalanta, the club has its headquarters in the nearby town of Zingonia, in the province of Bergamo. It plays its home matches at the Bergamo stadium Atleti Azzurri d' Italia, with a capacity of 24,642 spectators. It currently competes in Serie A, the top tier of football in Italy, having been promoted from Serie B in 2011. It ranks eleventh in the all-time Serie A table, as well as twenty-fourth in that of Serie B.

It is the team that has played the most single-group Serie A seasons without representing a regional capital, and for this reason it is considered the Queen of the Provinces. It is the side that has played the most times in the Italian top flight without ever winning a scudetto. Conversely, together with Genoa, it is the team that has won an Italian second-division championship the most times, six, and the most promotions to the top division, thirteen. Its honours include one Coppa Italia title won in the 1962-63 season, and at continental level the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League, where they beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final. In addition, they reached the semi-finals of the Cup Winners' Cup in 1988, when playing in Serie B, and were runners-up in the 2024 UEFA Super Cup.

Atalanta ranks twelfth in the ranking of Italian sporting tradition according to the criteria of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), and has been a member of the European Club Association since 2019.
