Recreativo Huelva

Real Club Recreativo de Huelva, S. A. D. is a multi-sports organisation from Huelva (Andalusia, Spain) with sections for football, beach football, rugby, basketball and badminton (in its early days it also had cricket and tennis sections). Its football section currently plays in the Segunda Federación (4th tier of Spanish football), after being relegated in the 2024-25 campaign. Founded in 1889, it is the oldest football club in continuous existence in the country, which is why it is known as the "dean" ("decano") of Spanish football or, simply, the "Decano".

It is the twenty-first team with the most supporters in Spain (0.4%) according to a CIS survey of May 2007. In addition, its supporters received recognition from LaLiga in 2009 as the "12th man", acknowledging their involvement and commitment to good football and to friendship between fan bases. In 2002, the Fundación Recre was entered in the Register of Private Foundations of a Cultural and Artistic Nature, Associations and Similar Entities of Andalusia.

As regards sporting achievements, "el Decano" lived its "golden years" during the first decade of the 21st century, achieving two promotions to Primera División, being crowned Segunda champions in one of them (2005-06 season) and reaching for the first time in its history the final of an official competition, finishing runner-up in the Copa del Rey in 2003 after losing 0-3 to RCD Mallorca. As for individual distinctions, Recreativo is the club that has won the most Zamora Trophies in Segunda División and the only one to have done so with three different goalkeepers: César Quesada, Toño Martínez and Vicente Guaita. In addition, Uche won the Pichichi Trophy in Segunda in 2006 with 20 goals, and Marcelino García Toral won the second edition of the Miguel Muñoz Trophy in Primera División awarded by the newspaper Marca, level on points with Sevilla coach Juande Ramos. It is also the only team whose goalkeeper wore a different crest on his kit from the rest of the players.
