CD Guabirá

Club Deportivo Socio Cultural Guabirá, better known simply as Guabirá, is a football club from the city of Montero, Department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. It was founded on 14 April 1962 by the workers of the Ingenio Azucarero Guabirá (Guabirá sugar mill) and currently takes part in the Primera División of Bolivia.

Its characteristic colors are red and white, accompanied by green stripes, alluding to the colors of the flag of Montero. It plays its home matches at the Estadio Gilberto Parada, which has a capacity of 18,000 spectators.

At the national level, Guabirá has won the Bolivian league once, in 1975, and was also national runner-up twice (1968 and 1995). It also has 6 titles of the Asociación Cruceña de Fútbol in its honors list and is the record winner of the Copa Simón Bolívar with 4 titles.

It was a founder of the Liga del Fútbol Profesional Boliviano in 1977. Since then Guabirá has become a traditional team of the Bolivian league despite its ups and downs. It has had six spells in the professional league: 1977-1984; 1993-2003; 2008; 2010; 2013/14 and 2016/17-present.

At the international level it has 7 official international participations by CONMEBOL: 2 in the Copa Libertadores (1976 and 1996) and 5 in the Copa Sudamericana (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023). It also has one participation in the Copa Simón Bolívar (1976), a tournament organized by the Venezuelan Football Federation in which it was runner-up, although that tournament is not recognized as official.

The team maintains a great rivalry with Sport Boys Warnes, against whom it plays the so-called "Clásico del Norte", considered one of the most attractive matches in Santa Cruz, and it also has a strong rivalry with the teams of Blooming and Oriente Petrolero.
