Tout Puissant Mazembe Englebert (in Spanish: "Todopoderoso Mazembe"; in English: "All-Powerful Mazembe"), formerly known as TP Englebert, is a football club from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, from the city of Lubumbashi. The club was founded in 1939 by Benedictine monks and plays its home matches at the Stade TP Mazembe, which has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. It currently plays in the Linafoot, the Congolese top division.
Its nickname is Les corbeaux (the ravens), despite having a crocodile with a ball in its mouth on the team's crest. The club has 20 league titles and 5 Congo Cups, which makes it one of the most decorated clubs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In addition, Mazembe has five Champions League titles among its honours, the only Congolese team, together with AS Vita Club, to hold this distinction. It also has one African Cup Winners' Cup and two CAF Super Cups, placing it among the leading clubs in African football.
In 2010, the club made history by becoming the first team from Africa to reach the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, breaking the traditional dominance of the continental powers of Europe and South America. In the final, played in Abu Dhabi, it lost to Inter Milan, the European champion.
