Acassuso

Club Atlético Acassuso is an Argentine football club, founded on 7 September 1922, whose headquarters are in San Isidro, in the northern part of Greater Buenos Aires. It is the only football club in that district. In its early days the club was called Villa Acassuso Football Club until 1925, when it adopted the name Sportivo Acassuso, which it kept until 1942, when it took the name it uses today. It now competes in the third tier of Argentine football, the Primera B Metropolitana.

Acassuso began to take part in official championships in 1923 in the third tier. In 1931 it began its participation in professional football in the Tercera División (now Primera C). It was one of the eight clubs relegated to the fourth division of Argentine football (Primera D) in 1950, with the restructuring of the divisions and the creation of a new division.

Acassuso's stadium is named La Quema. Despite owning this ground, the club plays its home matches at the stadium of Sportivo Italiano or Deportivo Armenio in Ingeniero Maschwitz.
