Fotbal Club Dinamo București, known in Spanish as Dinamo de Bucarest, is a football club from Romania from the city of Bucharest. It was founded on 14 May 1948 as part of the sports society CS Dinamo București, plays its home matches at the Arena Națională in Bucharest and plays in the Liga I of the Romanian football league system.
The club is one of the most successful football teams in Romania, with 18 Liga I titles, thirteen Romanian Cups and one Romanian Super Cup. At international level, Dinamo has not won any title, but it became the first Romanian team to reach a European Cup semi-final, in 1983–84. The team's traditional colours are red and white. The current crest is a modified version of the one adopted in 1998. The Stadionul Dinamo has a capacity of 15,032 seats and is located in the centre of Bucharest, where it has played since 1951.
Since its foundation, Dinamo has been the team of the Ministry of the Interior and its history has been marked by the great rivalry it maintains with Steaua Bucharest, the other major club in the capital, which for much of its history belonged to the Romanian army. The matches between the two most important teams in Romanian football are known as the Eternal Derby.
