Gimnasia (CdU)

Club Gimnasia y Esgrima is an Argentine football club from the city of Concepción del Uruguay, province of Entre Ríos. It was founded on 8 February 1917 and currently plays in the Torneo Federal A. Its kit is sky blue and white. The stadium, with a capacity of 15,000 spectators, is located at Santa Teresita and Perú in that city. The club also has other disciplines, such as, for a few years now, women's football.

Its traditional rival is Club Atlético Uruguay, from the same city.

It also has a fierce rivalry with Club Atlético Patronato de la Juventud Católica of Paraná (contesting the so-called Clásico Entrerriano). Other rivalries that are also noted are Juventud Unida de Gualeguaychú (Clásico de la Costa del Uruguay) and, to a lesser extent, Defensores de Pronunciamiento (Clásico del Departamento Uruguay).

From its first title, in 1921, to the most recent, Gimnasia y Esgrima has accumulated 50 official title celebrations ("vueltas olímpicas") and 19 more in friendly tournaments organised by the Liga Pro.
