Zenit Saint Petersburg (in Russian: Футбольный клуб Зенит, and officially Futbolny Klub Zenit) is a Russian football club based in the city of Saint Petersburg. It was founded in 1925 and plays in the Russian Premier League, the top division of Russian football. The club plays its home matches at the Krestovsky Stadium.

The team was founded in 1925 on the basis of several teams from the city of Leningrad, and it was not until 1936 that it adopted the name Zenit Leningrad, making the team part of the Zenit sports society. Zenit won its first title in 1944, when it took the Soviet Cup, and in 1984 it was proclaimed champion of the USSR Top League. The club achieved its best results to date in the late 2000s, when it won three Russian league titles, the UEFA Cup and the 2008 European Super Cup. In 2005, the state-owned company Gazprom became the club's majority shareholder.

The club's traditional colours are blue, light blue and white. In fact, its kit in the first Soviet championship was steel blue and white, those of the Zenit sports society, the team of the workers of Leningrad's armaments industry. Its crest, except during its period as Stalinets, has hardly changed throughout its history and simply consists of the stylised word "Zenit" in Cyrillic characters. Zenit has historically played its matches at the S. M. Kirov Stadium on Krestovsky Island, but has also used the Petrovsky Stadium in various periods, which has been its stadium since 2006. In 2017 Zenit opened its own stadium, which holds 69,000 spectators and is once again located on Krestovsky Island.

Zenit, together with CSKA Moscow, is one of only two Russian clubs with official international titles, and is also the Russian club with the most international titles, with 2.
