Corporación Deportes Quindío

Deportes Quindío is a football club based in the city of Armenia, in Colombia. It was founded on 8 January 1951 by a group of businessmen from the south of Caldas, who intended to have professional football in their city. It currently plays in the Categoría Primera B of Colombian football. Since 1988, the team has played its home matches at the Estadio Centenario.

It holds one Primera División title, won in the 1956 championship, a significant fact considering that at that time the city of Armenia was not yet a departmental capital, and it remains the only champion team from a non-capital city.

Deportes Quindío contests the Clásico Cafetero against Once Caldas and Deportivo Pereira, reflecting its historic roots in the coffee-growing axis and the 1966 split of Viejo Caldas, which fueled the rivalry among these teams belonging to the former department. At the international level, it took part in two editions of the defunct Copa Conmebol.
