El Porvenir

Club El Porvenir is an Argentine multi-sport club, founded on 11 September 1915. It is based in the city of Gerli in the province of Buenos Aires. The institution's most prominent activity is football, but tennis, field hockey, futsal, judo, taekwondo, aikido, figure skating and yoga, among others, are also practised. It currently plays in the Primera D, the fifth tier of national football for clubs directly affiliated to the AFA.

Its stadium is named after Gildo Francisco Ghersinich, although since its inauguration it was previously called "Estadio Enrique de Roberts", in honour of a former president of the institution. The stadium, which is partly built of wooden planks and concrete, has a capacity of around 14,000 people. In addition, the sports complex has a covered indoor arena, five clay tennis courts, two artificial-turf five-a-side football pitches, a two-storey building with a gym and rooms for other disciplines, a park and two recreational swimming pools. Despite having spent almost all of its history in the second (now Primera Nacional) and third (now Primera B Metropolitana) divisions of Argentine football, as a result of a deep institutional crisis it played in the Primera D, the fifth division for teams directly affiliated to the AFA, during the 2013/14, 2014, 2015 and 2016 seasons. On 29 May 2016, after 3 years, it won promotion to the Primera C, although it was relegated again to the Primera D from 2023.
