Belgrano de San Francisco

Club Sportivo Belgrano is a sports institution in the city of San Francisco, in the province of Córdoba, Argentina, whose football team has played, since the 2016 season, in the Torneo Federal A, organised by the Consejo Federal, an internal body of the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, to which the club is indirectly affiliated.

It was founded on 15 April 1914, when a group of young men resolved to create a new sports institution. When everyone agreed to proceed with the founding, they began to look for the most appropriate name and, amid overflowing enthusiasm, one of the members mentioned, while looking up at the sky, the name of the national hero Manuel Belgrano. Thus, in the middle of the old Plaza Vélez Sársfield, the club was born.
