Club Necaxa

Impulsora del Deportivo Necaxa S.A. de C.V., or simply Club Necaxa, is a professional football team in the Primera División of Mexico. It was founded on 21 August 1923 in Mexico City by the Scottish-born engineer William H. Frasser. In 2003 it moved its base to the city of Aguascalientes, in the state of the same name, playing its home matches at the Estadio Victoria; the traditional colours of the necaxista kit are red and white.

Its honours list includes 12 titles (three league titles, four Copa México, two Campeón de Campeones, one Supercopa de México, one Concacaf Champions' Cup and one Concacaf Recopa), as well as four Liga de Ascenso titles and two as winner of the promotion series. It was the first team to win the double in Mexico, taking the league and the cup in the same season, in 1932–33, thus taking the nickname Campeonísimo, becoming the first team in Mexican football to bear that nickname.

At international level and beyond its confederation titles, its most outstanding performance was finishing third in the 2000 FIFA Club World Championship held in Brazil.

It occupies 7th place in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics list of the Club of the Century of North and Central America (1901–2000), being the best-placed Mexican club.
