Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (from Korean: 전북 현대 모터스 FC) is a South Korean football club from Jeonju, North Jeolla. It was founded in 1994 by Hyundai Motors, the club's owner and main sponsor. The team plays its home matches at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium, with a capacity of more than 40,000 spectators, and plays in the K League 1, the South Korean top division. Green is the club's traditional colour, which it adopted for the province of North Jeolla.
Jeonbuk began winning titles from the 2000s onwards and has since been one of the most successful clubs in its country, with nine league titles (2009, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021) and 5 South Korean cups (2000, 2003, 2005, 2020 and 2022). At international level, it was proclaimed AFC Champions League champion in its 2006 and 2016 editions and was a finalist in 2011, becoming the first team from East Asia to win the AFC Champions League in the new format introduced in 2003.
