Liniers

Club Atlético Liniers, also known as Liniers de Bahía Blanca or simply Liniers, is an Argentine sports club located in Bahía Blanca, Province of Buenos Aires (in the centre-east of the Argentine Republic), founded on 8 October 1908. Its main activity is football, in which it currently competes in the Torneo Federal A.

Throughout its history, the club has stood out in basketball, in which it has been champion a total of 10 times in the Primera División of the Asociación Bahiense de Básquetbol, making it the team with the third-most titles in this competition. It plays its home matches at the Estadio Hernán Sagasti, which has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.

In softball, the club represents Bahía Blanca in the Campeonato Nacional de Clubes de Sóftbol Argentino. It reached the top category for the first time in 2022 by winning the second promotion of the Second Category. It has played at home at the Estadio "Beto" Pelizario since 10 November 2018.

However, football is the club's main activity. Liniers has been champion of the Liga del Sur 20 times — surpassed only by Olimpo with 28 — this being the oldest regional tournament in the Argentine Republic. At national level it has won three titles, one of them in the fifth tier of Argentine football (Torneo del Interior 2007) and the other two in the fourth tier of Argentine football (Torneo Argentino B 1999–00 and Torneo Regional Federal Amateur 2021–22). The team has played at home at the Estadio Dr. Alejandro Pérez since 1926, which has a capacity of 12,000 spectators.

Besides these three sports, Club Liniers has other disciplines such as women's football, swimming, volleyball, futsal, roller skating, tennis, boxing and karate.

The colour that identifies it is white with black stripes, with which the badge and the shirt were designed, in homage to Club Estudiantes de Caseros.

Its traditional rival is Club Olimpo, from the same city, with whom it plays the "clásico del centro". It also maintains a rivalry with Bella Vista, from the same city.
