Lech Poznań

Lech Poznań (Polish pronunciation: /lɛx ˈpɔznaj̃/) is a football club from the city of Poznan, Poland. The club was founded in 1922 and plays its home matches at the Estadio Municipal de Poznań (Poznań Municipal Stadium), which has a capacity of 45,830 spectators. It currently plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top tier of Polish football.

The club was founded as Lutnia Dębiec and has historically been linked to the Polish State Railways. This is why the club is popularly known as Kolejorz, which means "railwayman" in Polish. Its name is a reference to Duke Lech, the founder of the Polish nation. Lech's brightest era was the 1980s and early 1990s. In total, the team has won the league championship ten times, the Polish Cup five times and the Polish Super Cup seven times, making it one of the most successful clubs in Polish football.

Lech's traditional colours are blue and white, with a blue shirt and white shorts and socks. The club's crest has evolved throughout its history, but has traditionally reflected the club's name, "KKS Lech", the colours blue and white and classic railway symbolism. Lech is the most popular football club in the Greater Poland region, where Warta Poznań, the rival with whom it contests the Poznań derby, comes from.
