Norwich City

Norwich City Football Club, known simply as Norwich City, is a professional football club that plays in the English Football League Championship of England. It is based in the city of Norwich, in the county of Norfolk. The club was founded in 1902. Since 1935, it has played its home matches at Carrow Road. It maintains a fierce rivalry with Ipswich Town, “the team of the thicket”, with whom it has contested the “East Anglian Derby” 134 times since 1902.

Norwich has been League Cup champion on two occasions, in the 1961–62 and 1984–85 editions. Meanwhile, its best result in the Premier League was the third place achieved in the 1992–93 season.

The club has had several promotions to the top tier of English football in its history, having achieved it for the first time in 1972 and most recently in 2021, on being crowned champion of the 2020–21 EFL Championship.

Its supporters are known as The Canaries, as a reference to the club's colours and crest. Its chant, “On the Ball, City”, is considered the oldest football chant in the world still in use. The club's characteristic colours are yellow and green; these colours are used in the team's kit.
