Estudiantes Tecos

Tecos Fútbol Club is a Mexican professional football club founded on 5 July 1971. It currently plays in the Liga Premier, playing its home matches at the Estadio Tres de Marzo, in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, which forms part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. The colors that represent the club are red and yellow.

Until 25 May 2009, they were known as Tecos de la U.A.G., when they changed their name from Club Deportivo Estudiantes Tecos and took part in the Mexican Primera División. It was known as a team that had great attacking variety, such as Bruno Marioni, Rodrigo "El Pony" Ruiz and Rubens Sambueza, among others. The club has a rivalry with Club Atlas, Club Deportivo Guadalajara and Leones Negros. Its supporters are generally students of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and residents of Zapopan.

On 17 December 2012, the definitive purchase of the team by Grupo Pachuca, which also includes Club de Fútbol Pachuca and Club León, became official. On 28 May 2014, Grupo Pachuca announced the relocation of the team to Zacatecas to give birth to Mineros de Zacatecas; accordingly, the Segunda División affiliate team would also move, but it remained in Zapopan with the same name and stadium for one season. In 2015, all the affiliates moved to Zacatecas. Despite this, it was announced that the Autónoma team continued under a new franchise named Tecos Fútbol Club, but this time in the Mexican Tercera División; in 2017 this team achieved promotion to the Mexican Segunda División, the category in which it has played since that year.

The Tecos, together with the now-defunct Oaxtepec and Club San Luis, are so far the only clubs in the Mexican league that have managed to rise from the Tercera División, being crowned champions in it in 1973, and winning the Segunda División championship, which earned it promotion to the top circuit of Mexican football, in 1975.
