Red Bull New York

Red Bull New York, officially New York Red Bulls (in Spanish: Toros Rojos de Nueva York), and more commonly known as the Red Bulls or NY Red Bulls, is a professional soccer club from the United States based in the New York metropolitan area. It currently competes in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS), and plays its home matches at Red Bull Arena, a soccer-specific stadium located in Harrison, New Jersey, with a capacity of 25,000 spectators.

The club was founded in October 1994 under the name Empire Soccer Club, changing its name in October 1995 to New York/New Jersey MetroStars, and in 1998 the club dropped the territorial designation and changed its name simply to MetroStars; it is one of the original MLS clubs. In March 2006 Red Bull GmbH acquired the team and changed its name to the current one (New York Red Bulls).

Throughout its history, the New York Red Bulls have won a total of three MLS Supporters' Shields (2013, 2015 and 2018), and 2 Eastern Conference Cups in 2008 and 2024.

Starting in 2015, MLS had as a league expansion a second team in the New York metropolitan area, New York City Football Club, with whom a new rivalry arose, with whom it contests the New York derby, called the Hudson River Derby. It also has 2 strong rivalries with DC United and New England Revolution; these derbies are called the Atlantic Cup and the I-95 Derby.
