Portuguesa Fútbol Club is a Venezuelan professional football club based in Acarigua-Araure, Portuguesa State. It currently plays in the Primera División de Venezuela and plays its home matches at the Estadio José Antonio Páez.

Founded on 9 April 1972, it has won five Primera División de Venezuela championships (four of them consecutively), three runners-up finishes and three Copa Venezuela titles in the 1970s and early 1980s. It is the first Venezuelan team to have reached the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores de América. It has been relegated four times in its history, most recently in the 2012-13 season. Since its creation in 1972 it has been identified by its red and black kit. To date it is the only team in the Primera División de Venezuela to have won the title four times in a row.

After 40 years of absence, it returned to play in the Copa Libertadores in 2024, having finished among the top four places of the regular phase of the Venezuelan championship, qualifying for the second preliminary phase of the continental tournament after finishing third in the final quadrangular.
