Club Deportivo Magallanes is a professional football club in Chile, based in the commune of San Bernardo, in the city of Santiago. It was founded on 27 October 1897, under the aegis of the Escuela Normal de Preceptores, as Club Atlético Escuela Normal, and currently plays in the Liga de Ascenso de Chile.

Having adopted its definitive name in 1904, the club is one of the oldest in the country and, since 2000, under Law No. 20,019 on Sociedades Anónimas Deportivas Profesionales (S.A.D.P.), it has been run by Deportes Magallanes S.A.D.P.

It is one of the eight founding clubs of the Liga Profesional de Football de Santiago, the first professional football organisation in the country and the one that established the current Primera División de Chile, a competition in which it was proclaimed the first champion in history, in 1933. It was also the first club to win three consecutive professional championships in Chile.

Magallanes, together with Everton and Audax Italiano, is the sixth team with the most national Primera División titles, with 4 in total, behind Colo-Colo, Universidad de Chile, Universidad Católica, Cobreloa and Unión Española. It also has one Copa Chile title, one Supercopa de Chile, one Primera B, two Tercera División titles, one Campeonato de Apertura, one Campeonato Relámpago Profesional and one Campeonato Absoluto de Chile. In addition, it was the first Chilean club to win an international friendly tournament, by winning the 1949 Copa del Pacífico, an unofficial competition endorsed by the Ecuadorian Football Federation.

The colours that identify the club are white and light blue, which were adopted in 1908. These are reflected in both its sportswear and its crest.

Since August 2015 it has played its home matches at the Estadio Municipal Luis Navarro Avilés in San Bernardo, which has a capacity of 3,500 spectators. In the past, its traditional rival was Colo-Colo, against whom it played the so-called Clásico de la Chilenidad, considered the greatest derby in the early days of Chilean professional football. It also plays the so-called Clásico Metropolitano against Santiago Morning.
