Haarlemsche Football Club Haarlem—better known as HFC Haarlem—was a Dutch football club based in Haarlem. Founded in 1889, the club faced financial difficulties for several years before being expelled from the Dutch league system in January 2010. The organization was forced to merge with an amateur team to form a new entity, Haarlem-Kennemerland.
Throughout its history, HFC was a significant club in Dutch football. Its honors include a league title in 1948 and two Dutch Cups (1902 and 1912), as well as five runner-up finishes. The club also competed in European tournaments, such as the 1982–83 UEFA Cup. Additionally, in its final years, it served as a breeding ground for talent for other professional teams; players such as Kick Smit, Ruud Gullit, and John Metgod emerged from its ranks.
