Beitar Jerusalem Football Club (in Hebrew: מועדון כדורגל בית"ר ירושלים; Moadon Kaduregel Beitar Yerushalayim) is an Israeli football club from the city of Jerusalem. It was founded in 1936 and plays in the Ligat ha'Al, the top division of Israeli professional football. Despite being the most popular team in Israel, it is also the team with the fewest titles of the country's four big clubs: six league titles, seven cups and three Toto Cups. It maintains a rivalry with the other three big clubs: Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv. Matches against Hapoel are considered high-risk because the two sides represent two opposing political currents: Hapoel the left-wing and/or socialist politics, and Beitar the right-wing and/or conservative. The club's ultra hooligans, known as La Familia, have been involved in numerous violent incidents, at times alongside members of the far-right Lehava party.
